introduction / about the work on this site: 

A.M.Hanson's Photo Works shows information about the work of the London based photographer and artist A.M.Hanson. With details of his solo and collaborative mixed/multi media `off shoot` alexcalledsimon projects and imprint simonsplaypen-editions. This site is intended as an archival reference resource for the record, containing information for specific and general interest. 

Covering an image making body of work spanning over twenty years, selected work is shown in a year by year context, with details of exhibited and published material, alongside other related information on relevant pages. Recent years contain more examples of work to show current and recent practice. Certain archive areas will be added to from time to time with pictures and descriptions when material is reviewed or reprinted.

Prints are available outside of a gallery or dealer context unless a specific area of work is being represented, please contact directly with any enquiry in the first instance and we will be happy to help with any questions. Only a small number of unique or edition hand prints and other works are ever made available at any one time, outside of a show situation. Others are in circulation or in international, national, institutional, corporate and private collections. Other printed work such as open edition prints, posters and other image based matter are sometimes available directly and through other sources also. Clearly there is a distinct difference between imagery viewed or printed from the internet and an authentic, official print or art work. See the real thing!.
